NOTES

Summer Bites Are On Fire Along the South Texas Coast

Aransas Bay - Aransas, TX

Aransas Pass Fishing Report – Week of June 10, 2025

Fishing in Aransas Pass is heating up right along with the weather. Summer patterns are settling in, and anglers are seeing steady action across the bays, flats, and channels.

Redfish are cruising the shallow flats early in the morning, especially around Lighthouse Lakes and Redfish Bay. They're hitting cut mullet, shrimp, and soft plastics with gold spoons also doing the trick. Midday, they’re pushing deeper, but sight-casting on the edges can still produce.

Speckled trout are stacked up along the drop-offs and deeper grass pockets in East Flats and California Hole. Live shrimp under a popping cork is getting it done, but those drifting with soft plastics like Down South Lures or paddle tails are landing solid slot fish too.

Flounder are hanging near structure and in sandy potholes—look around Conn Brown Harbor and the edges of Aransas Channel. Gulp baits and finger mullet are producing decent bites, especially during moving tides.

Black drum are feeding well around oyster reefs and channel edges. Dead shrimp on the bottom is a go-to, and there have been reports of some oversized ones bending rods near the ferry landing. Tips for the week:

Fish early or late to beat the heat and catch more active fish.

Incoming tides have been the most productive.

Watch for slicks and bird activity to locate trout quickly.

Whether you're wading the flats, poling a skiff, or heading offshore, Aransas Pass is offering solid action right now. Stay safe, stay hydrated, and enjoy the South Texas bite!
